As part of our commitment to emergency preparedness and effective response, we’re excited to offer the American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Course. This course is designed to prepare instructor candidates to teach AHA BLS and Heartsaver courses while maintaining compliance with current AHA Guidelines and Training Center requirements.

Our BLS Instructor Course integrates the latest AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC), ensuring you receive the most up-to-date instructor training available. In addition to learning how to teach CPR skills effectively, participants will gain valuable knowledge regarding course administration, student evaluation, instructor responsibilities, and classroom management.

Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to teach CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants, understand the critical components of the AHA Chain of Survival, and effectively instruct students in AED utilization, ventilation techniques, foreign-body airway obstruction relief, and team-based resuscitation. This course prepares candidates to become confident and successful AHA Instructors.

Prerequisites:

Before attending the BLS Instructor Course, all instructor candidates must:

• Hold a current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification

• Complete the AHA BLS Instructor Essentials Online Course

• Submit their BLS Instructor Essentials completion certificate to will@coreolate360fitness.com

• Complete all prerequisite requirements before attending the in-person instructor course

Once payment for the BLS Instructor Course has been received, a link to complete the BLS Instructor Essentials Online Course will be emailed to you.

Pricing:

- BLS Provider Initial Course: $65
- BLS Instructor Course: $690 (includes all certification and course materials listed above)
- Instructor Observation Session: $45 per session (2 sessions required; must be completed within 60 days)

Three-Step Training Approach:

Day 1: BLS Provider Initial Course

Comprehensive training on BLS provider skills

• Adult, child, and infant CPR

• AED utilization

• Team dynamics and high-performance CPR

Day 2: BLS Online Essential Course

In-depth coverage of essential BLS instructor techniques

• Digital video modules and interactive learning

• AHA instructor requirements and expectations

• Course administration procedures

Day 3: BLS Instructor Course

• Detailed training on instructor material handling and processing

• Practical sessions on conducting BLS courses effectively

• Data processing and student training

• Heartsaver instructor training, including material handling and course management

• Classroom management and presentation skills

• Documentation and instructor recordkeeping

• Preparation for instructor monitoring requirements

Course Length:

• The BLS Instructor Course is a minimum of 5.5 hours

• Course length may extend depending on class size, student participation, questions, and instructor coaching

• Students should plan for approximately 6–7 hours on the training day

• Laptop computer (required)

• Laptop charger/power cord

• 1-inch binder

• 10 sheet protectors

• Pen and highlighter

• Notebook for note-taking

• Government-issued photo ID

• Lunch, snacks, or money for lunch

• Plenty of water

• Comfortable clothing suitable for CPR practice and skills testing

Instructor Development & Mentorship:

Unlike many instructor courses, this program includes personalized coaching and mentorship from Will LaSane Jr.

Instructor candidates will receive guidance on:

• Understanding and teaching in compliance with current AHA Guidelines

• Training Center policies and procedures

• Setting up your instructor laptop and electronic teaching materials

• Organizing your instructor binder for efficient course delivery

• Course administration and instructor documentation

• Student recordkeeping requirements

• Instructor monitoring preparation

• Building confidence in classroom management and teaching techniques

In addition to instructor training, candidates will receive mentorship and entrepreneurial guidance related to:

• Starting a CPR training business

• Marketing CPR courses

• Scheduling and managing classes

• Professional instructor development

• Building credibility within your community

• Growing a successful CPR training business while maintaining compliance with AHA standards and Training Center requirements

Instructor Observation Sessions:

Following completion of the BLS Instructor Course, each candidate must participate in two Instructor Observation Sessions, during which a Master Instructor will observe and evaluate your performance while you teach a BLS class.
